UPDATE 07/01/08 - SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE: It's not too late, please come join us! We are just days away from the beginning of our 2008 Camp Shoshanah season. There are a number of cabins, dormitory beds, RV and tent sites still open for participants. In fact we are currently only at about 70 % of capacity. We’re going to have a great time at Camp even if the number of attendees is down. The economy clearly has had an impact on what people are planning this summer...
So, here is a little help from your friends at Ariel Ministries. There are some scholarship slots open for the taking. If you can provide your own travel and get to camp, WE HAVE SOME LIMITED SPACE THAT WE ARE WILLING TO GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR. All we ask is that you share what you learn with others once you go back home. Don't delay, please call Missy at (518) 834-6057. Secure your scholarship and confirm your space today. We are looking forward to seeing you at camp... Shalom! |

We are now accepting reservations, if you plan to attend 2008 Camp, please make your reservation today. All accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, giving early registrants preference
regarding dates of attendance and accommodations. Print out, complete and send in your Reservation Application by mail or fax. We look forward to seeing you at Camp Shoshanah 2008!
The TWO-WEEK PROGRAM will run from Saturday, July 5 until Saturday, July 19, 2008.
The THREE-WEEK PROGRAM will run from Saturday, July 19 until Saturday, August 9, 2008.
Campers are encouraged to attend as many weeks of Camp as their schedules will allow. You may attend from 1-5 weeks of Camp or you may choose either the two-week or three-week session. Of course, all classes are recorded and available for purchase after Camp, so no one need miss out. Classes conducted Monday through Friday.
Back by popular request, we added a new two-week Camp in 2007 that compliments our popular three-week Camp program. Campers will attend four hour-long classes daily for both the two and three-week program.
The three-week program has a fifth one-hour session each day on The Life of Messiah, scheduled for first-time campers. A youth program is provided during the adult sessions. The afternoons and weekends allow plenty of free time for worship, fellowship, and recreation at Trout Pond Lake. Various other opportunities for recreation nearby include hiking, tennis, and basketball. For these you will need to bring your own equipment.
Each Friday evening we have a special Shabbat dinner. Saturday is a free day for campers who will continue their stay at Camp, and a departure day for those who will not continue their stay.
Sunday mornings, we gather for a time of worship led by Ariel staff members and campers. If you play a musical instrument, please bring it along to share with us. Sunday evenings are reserved for lakeside cookouts with music, dance, and fellowship.
We have also scheduled a talent night - The Camp Shoshanah Extravaganza - for the final Friday evening, August 8. |

ISSUES IN MESSIANIC THEOLOGY TODAY - Mottel Baleston
The Messianic Movement has been used of God to introduce thousands of Jewish people to Messiah as well as to familiarize other believers with the Hebraic roots of the faith. At the same time, confusion abounds over Mosaic Law, Rabbinic practice, and relationship with the larger body of Messiah. We'll profile the issues and seek biblical balance. |

| ACCOMMODATIONS: |
Arrivals on Saturday July 5th may not check in until after 4:00pm.
RESIDENT CAMPERS: On-site Camp housing includes cabins for married couples and families; separate dorms (bunkhouses) for single men and single women; and Camp grounds (tent, camper, or RV).
COMMUTER CAMPERS: Optionally, there are a number of small but clean motels available nearby. If you prefer to stay at one of these local motels and make the short drive (10-15 minutes) to camp each day, be sure to secure
your reservation as a
"Commuter."
MEALS: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided daily. Saturday meals will consist of a continental breakfast and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. If desired, you may also take this opportunity to try one of the local restaurants upon arriving on Saturday. Early arrivals for the following week session will be served the Saturday evening meal.
Please Note: Campers are not permitted to prepare their own meals nor is food allowed in the cabins. Our kitchen facilities do not allow us to make provision for special diets or storage of special food items in
the camp kitchen. A refrigerator will be available in the dining hall for campers with special needs only (for example, prescriptions - not for use for food preference). The kitchen staff cannot warm bottles nor can kitchen privileges be granted for this purpose. We encourage you to bring disposable bottles since it will not be possible to
boil bottles for cleansing.
Pets are not permitted. |
|
| CHILDREN and YOUTH (Ages 5-18): |
Serious Bible education is also required of our young people. While opportunities for good fun abound, first and foremost, Camp Shoshanah is a discipleship Camp.
While parents attend classes, we will conduct a program of Bible teaching and recreation for children ages 5-18. Students will discuss How We Got the Bible, The Eight Covenants of the Bible, The Plan of the Ages, and Sharing Jesus with your Jewish Friends.
We regret that pending completion of the new Dining Hall, which will house classes in the future, we will not be able to provide classes at this time for children under age five. Parents wishing to attend with small children will need to provide childcare for their own children. We will attempt to identify babysitters that parents can hire at their own expense. |
